We have been trying to soak up every aspect of every little thing we love about Arizona before we move to Washington!
So, we've been spending a lot of time with friends!
And we're strengthening little friendships while there's still time, so that will hopefully one day they will blossom into true love (:
We've been going to parks that we've always said we wanted to go to, like Tumbleweed Park, which was gigantic and a total blast! We were there with our little friends for hours!
We finally went to the Easter Pageant.
I asked this actor who he was supposed to be, and he told me to guess. After 3 wrong attempts I was like, "alright already, tell me who you are pageant man." But Noelle said, "I know who you are. you're Joseph." She was right. We were all impressed.
We had to go to Superstition Farms one last time before we move. It's our favorite dairy farm, and really just one of our favorite places ever! Bottle feeding drooly baby cows is the coolest! The kids all loved it!
Winston rode on the tractor, which he pretended was a monster truck.
Stanton fed so many goats.
This one kept snatching the cup of food right out of his hand. He thought it was hilarious!
We don't get to see each other super often, but when we do get together, it's like us, our hubbies and our kids it's so much fun, like nothing has changed.
We had fun petting the alligator, touching the tortoises, getting attacked by an ostrich on the train ride, feeding the giraffes and going on the log ride! It was a great day!
On Easter we soaked up time with both sets of Grandparents. We went to Grandma Mary and Grandpa Dan's for lunch, and to hunt for eggs and feed a baby lamb.
Then on Easter night we made dinner for Grandpa and Grandma Curry and had an egg hunt with our cousins.
The kids are really going to miss pushing Grandpa Curry's car every morning when before he goes to work. He puts it in neutral and lets them push him out of the garage. Then he honks and turns on the windshield wipers, and they giggle and jump up and down when he starts it! It's a fun little tradition!
We just have so many little daily routines that we've always done for years, like mall story time. It's just kind of our thing to go to Pottery Barn story time, get a pretzel and chocolate sample on the way to the play place, read books at Barnes and Noble, have lunch at the food court, play/mess up the Lego store and the Disney Store and go home. It's just something we've done a couple times a month since Stanton was a baby, and I'm going to miss such familiar little places and memories.
Today's mall trip I decided to spice things up a bit by making them a mall scavenger hunt that they had to read the clues and search for all sorts of different things. They found them all and got a quarter to spend in the candy machines. You'd think they'd won a million bucks!
We also went to the Disney Store for a free Jr Animator drawing class. It was SO cute watching them all learn to draw Mickey Mouse! Even Winston was totally into it and listening intently, and by the end his paper was covered with little scribbles!
We're sure gonna miss everything about Arizona, but we're excited for new routines and traditions and adventures in Spokane!
