My Best Birthday EVER!!!!
What an extravaganza birthday week was this year, thanks to my sweetest husband and wonderful family and friends! We kicked off the celebration on Monday the 17th with my free Red Robin meal and went out to eat every day of the week to all my favorite places, Costco, Chick-fil-A, Rubios. Robert also changed any diaper that I deemed to stinky, and gave me a birthday card and a back rub every night! I also got to get a pedicure with a friend and Robert's parents got me a CRICUT machine!!! Robert's sister Adrienne came in town from California and threw me a final fiesta dinner Sunday night with the family. It was so fun and delicious, and she even pulled out some of my wedding decorations to decorate with. I'm such a lucky girl! I'm so thankful!
On my actual birthday, Robert threw me a SUPER FUN paint ball party, and so many of our friends were so nice to come! Robert also made me this cool paint ball cake! Stanton was a little hesitant to have his toys dirtied, but was pleased when I let him eat "his army cake" for breakfast 3 days in a row!
I've always wanted to play paint ball cause I'm very much into tough guy- shoot em up movies, and the scene from the PG-13 Die Hard movie where Bruce Willis takes down the bad guy holding him hostage by shooting a bullet through his own shoulder and into the guys neck practically changed my life, so paint ball was like living the dream for me!
We had so much fun with 20 of our friends, but I have to admit, it was a little hard to shoot them. I also have to admit that it wasn't hard for them to shoot me! We all have so many bruises, and the pain was shocking, but I would totally do it again!
Stacy and Shellee got it right in the mask!
And I'm pretty sure that Lance, "the assassin" shot us all at least once.. His sweet wife Michelle took one right in the jugular from Shellee, but Michelle was so brave and went right back out the next game.
David's open wound looked the worst, but he didn't even flinch. He was a master out there himself, shooting Ally in the finger on the first round and drawing blood. MY bruises are in places that you can't take pictures of, but I wear my battle scars proudly from my best birthday EVER!

Does it make me a loser because....
I just rented the Hannah Montana movie, and I LOVED it!? I am turning 28 in two days, and I just thoroughly enjoyed a movie for 8 year olds. I even cried at the end. I understand if nobody wants to be my friend anymore!
P.s. I also loved that movie Hotel for Dogs and cried at the end of that one too. Oh, and High School Musical as well.

I made up a Primary Song...Family History Mystery!
About a year ago, I made up a Primary song. I just started humming a tune and made up some words, but since I only play the trumpet and not the piano, I didn't know how to make it into music on paper. Then, my dear friend Emily had me sing it to her over and over, as she figured out each note on the piano. She added in an awesome intro and a bottom hand, and voila, she and I have a song. I sent it to the church music office to see if it can go to The Friend! Now, I know it's no "Scripture Power," but a handful of kids on our ward know it, and it sounds really cute when they sing it. So, without further au dieu,..."Family History Mystery!" (There is also a secret second verse, and I will reveal it to anyone who does their own family history names.)

I finally got bangs and Stanton's fish died!
I have been saying forever that I am going to get bangs. I even texted most everyone I know and took a poll a few months back to see if I should. Most everyone said no, but I decided what the heck. I looked cute with them when I was in Elementary School, so why wouldn't they look cute now. I'm pretty sure I like them, but I can't decide if I look like a third grader with a big face, or the artsy-intellectual type, the type that Melissa refers to as the ones who shop at Whole Foods cause they are vegan and so sophisticated. (I don't think I'm that one cause I like steak, and I shop at Walmart.)
Now, Keep in mind, I'm about to go swimming, so they're not styled, and I have no make-up on because Noelle threw it all in the bathtub a few weeks ago, and I haven't bought anymore yet...Ta-da!!!!
Stanton said, "They're pretty. I want bangs like mommmy." and Robert said, "Bangs are for girls. The only bangs that you'll ever have will come from shooting a gun."
Switching gears, Lynnae and I talked our husbands into letting us use live fish for the centerpieces for the Elder's Quorum fish fry. So, Stanton, who has been wanting a fish for months, brought one home and named it "See-Saw." He and Noelle talked to it and fed it and kissed the bowl, and then it died, exactly 18 hours later. When I told Stanton, he frowned big and said, "Oh no. See-Saw died! Can I watch a movie?" He handles grief well.
R.I.P. See-Saw!
