The Story of our Summer Holiday!

On the way to our Newport Beach holiday (that means "vacation" in British. I think it sounds cuter) we stopped to get chased by the dinosaurs.
Sadly, Stanton did not run fast enough.
When we got to Newport Beach we went to see Robert's grandma & grandpa on Balboa Island.
Stanton and Noelle took their first ferry ride over to the peninsula.
Then we walked to The Crab Cooker restaurant. Adrienne said it was only 4 blocks, but it turned out to be 2 miles...each way!!!
And that made Robert grumpy!!!!
But then we found romance at the beach, and he was happy again!
Noelle had her first ice cream cone. It was Haagen Daaz, only the best for my girl!
Noelle also had her first time pretending to be a seal...she didn't lke that as much.
The beach was a huge success!
Noelle didn't get sun burned.
And Stanton found his belly button!
Disneyland was a blast!!! We all LOVED the Tiki Room (until I accidentally bumped Stanton's head on the bird cage.) We're even naming our next baby girl after one of the birds...Colette. Isn't it pretty!
But he wasn't a fan of Pirates of the Caribean. He shook his head "no" everytime they sang "Yo-Ho Yo-Ho." I guess it's not a Pirate's Life for him!
P.S. We fully realize that we "rrrr" the worst parents ever for taking our kids on Pirates (and the haughnted mansion)
By 11pm these Mouseketeers were exhausted.
But this Mickey and Minnie were wide awake and sooo in love!
The Long Beach Aquarium the next day was a lot of fun!
Apparently Stanton didn't like it though when I tried to make him give the bird a kiss...
or when I tried to make him hug the shark.
But we all enjoyed the enormous whale.
But the best part of the whole trip was that I got to spend so much time with my honeys!

COWabunga!!!

Every year in July this mama cow and her calfs like to dress up and go to Chickfillet for some free food! It's an udderly good time! And now, a cow joke...
Q: What would a cow wear for protection if he was a cop? A: A BULLet proof vest.
Stanton "mooed" at the other cows, even though he looked more like a puppy.
Last year when we went, Noelley was in my belly, but this year she got to put on some spots and graze with the rest of us!
Someone went cow-tipping!

The Icing on the Cake!

As some of you may know, I adore cupcakes! They're just cute and little and fun! One of my life's dreams (besides eating a blizzard in a blizzard) is to make gourmet cupcakes and sell them, or just give them away to spread cheer to those around me.
So, my good friend Shelly Basham and I paid a visit to Sprinkles, which just opened in Scottsdale. I have been dying to go there for over a year, since I read about it in a fancy Martha Stewart magazine.
Let's just say, it was everything I'd hoped it would be, a banana cupcake with Belgian dark chocolate frosting and sprinkles imported from France. It was totally worth $3.25 and all the chocolate stains I got on my new white shirt.

Extreme Home Makeover...Curry Edition!

Move over Ty Pennington cause our brother-in-law Adam, designer/handy-man extraordinaire, completely remodeled our house while he and Rob's sister Tara were down here visiting. Muchas gracias to him!
Granite counter tops (thanks Adrienne!) and an awesome tile backsplash with fancy lighting.
An enormous sink, pretty much the only thing I've ever wanted! It fits a whole cookie sheet, plus my child. (I think it would fit me, but Rob made me get off the counter before I could find out.)
My new orange bathroom. (Yes, we have seprate bathrooms. That's one of the reasons were such a happy couple!)
Rob's new brown bano, complete with new everything!
And our new stone fireplace! Thankyou bff Tim Johnson! Not to mention, additional thanks for the wood floors months back!

More Fun Camping!

Just before I fell...Sike! I'm pretending!
Dad's and daughters.
My little Stan...the ladies' man! (P.S. he's only wearing pink because I forgot all of his clothes at home, so we had to borrow from friends.)
He's "fallen" for Emma!
and Stella!

One Little Monkey Jumping on the Bed.... Landed on Noelle's Head!

What a Suite Week It's Been!

Robert's Dad gets us tickets in his firm's suites to lots of fun events, but twice in one week, luck be a lady! We went to the Diamondback's game on Thursday. This picture was taken right before Stanton threw his ball (that Robert told me not to bring) over the suite wall, and right after Stanton got spooked by homerun cheering and spilled his lemonade all over Daddy.
Noelle just smiled the whole time, while Stanton took breaks from watching the game to help himself to the refrigerator of free drinks about twice an inning.
"Doot do doo do doo do doot do loot doot do do" We also got to go to the circus and witness daring displays of acrobatic bravado and clowns galore!
Among the elephants, there was also a clown playing a trumpet upside down on a stool, which has inspired my newest goal. Stay tuned for a video clip of me doing the same just as soon as I get done practicing. The circus has also helped me decide what I want Robert to get me for my birthday...STILTS!! (He turned me down on the pony.)

Robert's Best Birthday Yet!

For Rob's 27th semi-surprise birthday party, we went to Bounce-U, which just happens to be the best place ever!!!
There were jumping castles and giant slides and big-glove boxing and this rope pully thing that makes you fall.
The kids enjoyed the toy cars.
And so did Rob!
Johnny & Stacy made up an obstacle course. Mike Ashby got the overall fastest time with 42 seconds.
Me and Lynnae tied for second place with 47 seconds. (I'm pretty much as fast as lightning!)

Feliz Cumpleanos Handsome Robert!

Robert's birthday is one of my favorite holidays because..... 1. It's the day my soulmate was born. 2. He gets so excited about it! 3. I get to throw him a cool, fun party. ( I'm still trying to top the one I threw him at Skateland the first year we were married. I'll let ya know if I succeed on Saturday.) So, feel free to call and sing to him. He loves that sort of thing!

Families can be together forever...until they're ripped apart!

We were all in the same state for a little while, until...
Robert's brother Michael is off to Provo to go to BYU until he leaves for his mission, and his siter Adrienne just moved to California in search of the perfect man. (She also got a really good new job there :)
Rob's other sister Tara & her husband Adam are going back to Utah to finish school. (stupid Utah!)
And now it's just us and Alex, the youngest Curry kid. I love Robert's family so much, and I'm way sad that we're all so far away! I wish we could just all live in the same house together like that family from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! We're gonna miss everyone! See ya at Thanksgiving family!

Q: How would I rate our camping trip? A: I'd give it a perfect TENt.

If you were Robert...

If you were Robert, I would pack your lunch for work, and I would make up a joke about the food inside. This week I have been making Robert wraps, and these are the jokes he's enjoyed:
Q: What does a hip-hop singer eat for lunch?
A: Wraps

Q:If "Queen" wrote a song about a sandwich made with a tortilla, what would they call it?
A: Bohemian WRAP-sody

Q: If someone made a movie about a tortilla filled with veggies and turkey, what would they say when it was over?
A: That's a wrap

AND TOMORROW'S JOKE IS:
Q: If I gave someone a tortilla sandwich for Christmas, what would I use to cover it up so they wouldn't see it?
A: WRAP-ing paper

Sleeping Beauties!

I'm sure they'd be so pleased that I posted such a flattering picture of the both of them.

Stanny's Skull

Is there anything cuter, or bigger than Stanton's head x-ray. I think he's actually smiling in it!
